We're in the process of fully integrating this small website into www.mcgonigalspub.com. Full food/drink menus and other information will be readily available there soon. Additionally, you can find us at the new, easy to remember URL www.barringtonpub.com.

Since opening our doors in September 2012, we’ve become Barrington’s great new social destination and provide a truly complimentary addition to McGonigal’s Pub. Our specialties include amazing mixed drinks, a wide selection of craft beers & wine, plus a remarkable menu of small shared plates with large entrée sized options. We are unique in that you are not limited to just The Annex menus - feel free to order food and drinks from our neighbors at the Pub. Also, if you want to buy beer, wine or liquor to go, we can do that for you too! Between both establishments we offer “something for everyone” and are confident that you will enjoy the ambiance and service provided.

The Annex also offers a state of the art TouchTunes Jukebox, Dartboard and Golden Tee Live 2013 game machine!

DAILY SPECIAL FEATURES
§ Mixers Mondays - promotional liquor & mixed drinks, which will often include industry representatives sampling some of their booze.
§ Crafts & Drafts Tuesdays - a beer lover's dream! We'll focus on a different brewery each week and offer additional discounts on many of our tap and bottled beers.
§ Wine Wednesdays - up to half off on bottles and glasses of select wines, along with occasional promotional samplings and education from winery representatives.
§ Thirsty Thursdays - unbeatable drink specials and entertainment options; we’d call it Ladies Night, but we’re pretty certain these drinks will appeal to the men too!
§ Foodie Fridays - several food specials created exclusively by Executive Chef Ted Stay, good through the entire weekend (or while supplies last).

Gift certificates purchased for Park Avenue Wine Bar can continue to be used at The Annex and are also valid at McGoniga's Pub. Any existing Groupon certificates purchased for Park Avenue Wine Bar are no longer valid for use at The Annex. Please contact Groupon for a full refund.

More About Us
It’s true, The Annex has taken over the building formerly occupied by Park Avenue Wine Bar. However, this is more than just an extension of McGonigal's Pub... though the great character and atmosphere from the Pub is apparent throughout, The Annex has its OWN identity, making it uniquely appealing entity in the Barrington region. Our expertise is mixology, with an arsenal of amazing specialty cocktails that will continue to grow and develop with our customer's pallets. The Annex also features nearly three dozen craft beers with a couple ever-changing specialty beers on tap. Additionally, we appeal to the average wine drinkers and connoisseurs alike, offering a wide assortment of quality wines along with a special reserve list. Combine this with an extraordinary menu of small shared plates and entrée-sized options (including suggested libations), and you now have another distinctive entertainment option in the area. Of course the popular neighboring Pub is connected, and the doors will always be open between these two establishments!

The Annex is located at 205 Park Avenue, which is a block east off of Cook Street just south of Main Street in the heart of downtown Barrington – ample parking available – and we’re also two blocks from the Union Pacific Metra Rail station. The Annex opens at 4:00 PM seven days a week, closing at 1:00 AM Sunday through Thursday and 2:00 AM on Friday & Saturday. Reservations are not needed, and attire is always casual.
